Maresca's coaching credentials are impressive, having worked under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City for the past five seasons. During his time at the Etihad, he played a key role in the club's unprecedented success, which included three Premier League titles, one FA Cup, and four EFL Cups.
However, Maresca's managerial experience has been limited to a six-month spell in charge of Serie B side Ascoli in 2022. Despite his brief tenure, Maresca left a positive impression on the club, guiding them to mid-table security before being replaced by Roberto Stellone.
